The Lineup

Many thanks to Scott McGeorge for the photos

It will take a vast amount of money, time, and effort to put together the 50th
reunion. We will be calling on all of you for significant contributions of all three of these resources. If you are unable, please opt out at this time by "Raising Your Hand". If you do not have your hand raised, please expect a call from Catherine, Carolyn, or Sandra very soon. Thank you.

I was There!

I think we were successful in establishing a committee to put together the 50th reunion. That would be next year, ya know! My, time fly's when you are having fun. If I am not mistaken the committee members are Catherine Ward Smith, Carolyn Hankins Wright, and Sandra Dixon Stewart. Does this surprise anyone? Those who have always worked hard for us continue to work hard for us. We really appreciate it guys. Truly we do. Thank you so very much.
I think the consensus was that the reunion should take place in Hot Springs. I suppose that will be up to the reunion committee, but I'm pretty sure I got the message it would be there. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help should contact the members and do so.
Also, if any of you would like to post a comment on this page, I would be happy to place it here. Simply send me an email and it will be done. Send email here!

How do you judge success? If the criteria is based on the major accomplishment of the mission being met......then... the confab held in Little Rock at Khalil's Pub and Grill was an stellar deed.
The staff and management of Khalil's deserve a strong pat on the back for the friendly down home manner that they used to make this meeting not only tasteful but a joy to attend.
My hat's off to all for coming up with this location and making sure that all interested friends were notified and mapped out.
The group attending were not only a delight to talk with but were upbeat and willing to discuss any and all up coming plans for future meetings to include ideas for the BIG 50 Reunion. Humor was the main focal point concerning most of the discussions and if you weren't there then you were fair game.
No real iron clad decisions were voted on or even strongly discussed.
I must admit that the ladies in attendance were stunning and youthful in appearance and demeanor. I'd like to say that about the guys but even I can't prevaricate to that extent..... Thank you all for coming.
If you missed this meeting for what ever reason then try to make the next one...because if you don't...............

This is WONDERFUL !!!! What a GREAT group shot and write up. Khalil's was a perfect match for us. I thank you for picking it and pulling everything together, and I am already looking forward to, when you have the time and energy, to reconvene us on a monthly or every other month return. I think those hearing about our on- going mini gatherings will grow in number and serve to be an on-going support system for helping Carolyn, Catherine and Sandra, et al, put together the 50th in Hot Springs next year. Plus I also believe that the mini's will be a place we can provide morale boosts, prayers and encouragement for those of us who are struggling with life's challenges and find support in just the opportunities provided by gathering together on a regular basis.
Thank you old friend for your kind comments and to all the group for being who
they are. God bless.

I agree that the meeting in Little Rock was a success. I hope we can do it again soon. Khalil's was a nice place to meet, convenient location and the service was great.
As a matter of clarification, before anyone gets the wrong impression, Catherine, Sandra and I are not the "reunion committee" as such at this time. We cannot make the decision as to where the 50th reunion will be held. If it is the general consensus/vote of the classmates to have the reunion in Hot Springs, we will be happy to work with the other classmates living in Hot Springs to organize and plan the reunion. If the decision is to have the reunion in Pine Bluff or anywhere else, then someone different will have to be the "reunion committee". It would be hard to plan from long distance. Maybe this can be discussed at future gatherings.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the next mini-reunion.
